Floating candles are convex shaped on the bottom and small and shallow enough that they float in water.
The choice of vessel has a major influence on the effect that the floating candle will

- To ensure the core is not made of lead, rub a white piece of paper over the unburned candle wick. If
a pencil-like mark appears, the wick contains lead, it should not be burned - if burnt it can lead
to lead poisoning. Whenever you buy floating candles online it is advisable to look for
manufacturers that clearly state that their merchandise is lead-free. Floating candles are an
especially good buy on wholesale candle purchases.
